You may already be aware that consent orders are legally binding documents that detail an agreement between two parties who have ended their relationship. Time changes, as do people, and if you have grown apart from your partner and you both wish to come to an agreement over property and other asset division.

Fixed Fee Consent Orders

Once you and your ex-partner have come to an amicable agreement regarding the fine details of the separation, you can find fixed price consent orders online from a local family law firm. Indeed, during the current Covid-19 pandemic, you can have a virtual consultation with a family lawyer, which would enable the lawyer to draw up the consent orders. After you and your ex-partner have approved the documents, the lawyer would submit them to the Family Court, who normally approve them, however, there are times when the Family Court rejects the consent orders.

Finalise Every Aspect

When you decide to part company with your ex-partner, you don’t want things unsettled, and drawing up an agreement in the form of fixed price consent orders means that the agreement is legally binding and cannot be amended by either party. This means that you can make plans for the future, knowing that your agreement with your ex-partner is not subject to anything, and for many couples, this is the best way forward.

Virtual Legal Services

As we are currently experiencing lockdowns in Australia, due to Covid-19, the family lawyer offers a virtual service, whereby you and the legal expert have a video meeting, and by uploading your documents in advance, the lawyer can read the agreement and ask questions to determine your needs. Then the lawyer can draw up the consent orders, which you and your ex-partner must approve, then the lawyer submits the consent orders to the Family Court for official approval.

If you hire a fixed fee lawyer, then you can rest assured there are no hidden extras, and in the unlikely event the consent orders are rejected, the lawyer would refund you the fee. Neither you nor your partner have to attend the court hearing, as the lawyer will represent you, and providing the court thinks the agreement is fair and in order, they will approve the orders, and that is the end of it.

If you would like to discuss your circumstances with a family lawyer, search with Google and you can make an enquiry.
